Trying to connect to Surface Pro 3, not sure what the error is!!

    On the Surface Pro, try checking in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Windows Firewall\Allowed apps, and make sure "Remote Desktop Connection" is allowed to pass through.

    Make sure Remote Desktop Connection is enabled also.

    Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System\Remote Settings.

    See if any other security software is blocking you.

    I connected my mobile through connectify hotspot. There will be any issue by connecting like that,

    i have checked remote settings and firewall settings in my PC, but still it shows Remote PC error 0*204.

    Hi sir, my PC running Windows 8.1 Pro and my Phone running Lumia cyan, I have checked all the remote desktop settings and re installed the remote desktop app and still it shows the same error.

    With the use of a friends computer, are you able to connect remotely to your Laptop?

    Again, can any of your friends who happen to have a Windows 8 Phone connect to your Laptop remotely?

    See what this says about auditing and logging, and what/where to look for in the Event Viewer.

    Is there a log file for RDP connections?
