Hyper-V + VPLEX = Goodness!
Yesterday at EMC’s World Conference, EMC announced the availability of VPLEX. VPLEX is a storage solution that allows you to federate storage across multiple physical sites. Most of the demos and discussion of VPLEX has centered around how it allows you to do long distance VMotion of VMware virtual machines.
Not so discussed at EMC World is the fact that it also enables you to do long distance live migration of Hyper-V virtual machines. It even works with CSV. You can read all the technical details in this EMC whitepaper:
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Ben, Thanks for the post! We did talk about Live Migration with VPLEX at EMC World including two presentations in the Microsoft booth that I delivered as well as a running demo at the VPLEX booth (although I agree it could have been highlighted even more throughout the show). This is an exciting solution that we'll be talking more about in the coming daysweeksmonths and I appreciate you jumping on it early!
