What News sites do you read?

I want to expand my horizons. I have spent years reading MSNBC.com articles. I like the format of the site and the reporting is what I would expect from any news organization. I also watch SlashDot and Techmeme. I am not giving up on those sites. I just want to add some new points of view and find more sources for interesting stuff. Most of the more interesting news I stumble on from other blogs or just poking around. Recently, I have been in a random thought phase with my Live searches. It has been interesting.

I know there are other news sites out there for every major media outlet. Those are exactly what I would like to avoid. No FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. I am interested in independent if not a little wacky take on the news of the world. I am interested in foreign news, tech news, some local politics, electronic chill music and..... Oh, and I enjoy sunset walks on the beach.
