I'm moving to Japan....

....well....this would be a good reason to anyway.

Was perusing the news today and ran across this article over on SlashDot - Japan to get 1gbps Home Fiber Connections. Reading the article, it also notes that this is a synchronous connection so that is 1gbps in both directions. Talk about an awesome BitTorrent connection!

    You know, I TOO suddenly feel a strong urge to learn Japanese now.... DRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL ONE GIGABIT INTERNET! So I think we all know where YOU'RE going just to run a "Facebook Speedtest" :)

    Wow. That's amazing. Makes the US look SLOW. Especially with the throttling that Comcast and Time Warner are thinking about. That is outrageous! HOLY COW! Konichiwa, Nihon!
