DWWTWT?: June 26
You folks in the midwest and on the eastern seaboard of the United States are probably used to the weather we're getting in Seattle, but for we denizens of the Pacfic Northwest, what we're dealing with here is a heat wave.
When I left the house at 8:25 this morning, it was already 72 degrees; by the time I get to the boys' District Championship game at 6 tonight, it may well be in the mid-90s. The walking experience has demonstrated to me exactly how heavy my Toshiba laptop with the 17" screen really is! I even broke a sweat this morning.
Gale picked me up at the office so we could all get to the ballgame on time, but based on previously established measurement practices for this experiment, today qualifies as a walker:
Walked: 4
Drove: 7
I'll post the results of the ballgame when I've got them.. go (Redmond) Red Sox!
