Spring has sprung, which apparently means that it's time for us to give away a big pile of cool stuff. In the Office:Mac Spring Cleaning Sweepstakes, we're giving away four $10,000 office makeovers, plus another $60,000 in other prizes. The big makeover gets you the latest version of Office:Mac, a MacBook Pro, a Cinema Display, the not-yet-released Microsoft wireless laser desktop for Mac, and new office furniture. The other prizes include Office:Mac, iPods, Xbox 360s, and Aeron chairs. For more info, read the official rules, which talks about eligibility and gives you the full list of prizes.

(A memo to my manager: please feel free to give me any of those. Except Office:Mac, I'm already set on that, thanks. But that Aeron chair? Yes, please. Oh, and a couple of 30-inch Cinema Displays would be nice. I wouldn't turn down a MacBook Pro or an iPod, either. Just in case you were wondering.)

    Why is it that US companies who sell products world-wide only have special offers for US citizens? The rest of the world buys a lot more then US customers put together, its about time the rest of the world gets the same treatment from US companies operating in a global economy, else the rest of the world will look to non-US companies who give them a fair deal.
