Bill Gates joins Twitter

it’s a verified account so yes, it looks like BillG has joins the ranks of Twitter users…and he’s chatting away with Ashton Kutcher. The original post by NextWeb noted he had 241 followers but that has now leapt to just over 134,000 and I imagine will be well past the 500k range by the end of the week.

His first tweet (via the web interface) was

"Hello World." Hard at work on my foundation letter - publishing on 1/25.

so I think we can safely say this is going to be more a forum for Bill to talk about his Foundation than anything Microsoft.
