Goofy Training --- RACE WEEK!!
Finally after several weeks of training, race week is here! I am a jumble of emotions, but mostly extremely excited to see what the Saturday and Sunday will be like. From a weather perspective the days look like they will be great running days:
Sat, Jan 10 Mostly Sunny hi 76° lo 50° 10% of Rain |
Sun, Jan 11: Partly Cloudy hi 70° lo 45° 10% of rain |
With a 6 am start, it will make for hopefully cool and not so humid run. :-)
I am really looking forward to seeing all the characters on the run and I am planning on bringing a small disposable camera to have some fun as I am chugging through the course.
Speaking of the course, I have learned that there is runner tracking available through a running tool. So you can track my split times if you get bored Saturday and Sunday morning for my runs. You will have to register with the service, and then put in my last name to track via email, text or pager. You will have to register twice for both runs via the links below. I will be curious to see what you think of the service, so if you use it let me know how it works:
Since I am going to be running a long way this weekend I found a great little inspirational video here, enjoy:
As for the running schedule here is my schedule for this last week:
Monday | Cross Train – Lift |
Tuesday | 3 |
Wednesday | 4 |
Thursday | Rest |
Friday | Rest |
Saturday | 13.1 |
Sunday | 26.2 |

As interesting as those clips would be, I like something a little more up tempo.
