Labor Day on Lake Sammamish

I invited around 40 people for a labor day BBQ thinking that if half show up we'd be lucky. It was, after all, an invitation that went out a week or so before the event. Well, you guessed it, pretty much everyone accepted. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the jazz quartet, or the lake, or the free food...

The largest party at my house was for my parents 50th wedding anniversary a couple of years ago. We had around 70 people show and the event was spread out over a day. So our house can handle a measley 40 people. But the planning associated with food, drink, keeping the kids occupied while the parents jabber, well that can be intimidating. And don't even get me started about the parking!

So enjoy your Labor Day holiday if you are in the US and Canada. The kids go back to school next week.  :o)
