IT Masters here I come...
Well I'm finally doing it! Today I sent in my application form to start an IT Masters degree in May of this year. So what is IT Masters exactly? Well essentially it's a masters degree for IT Professionals. It combines the best of University courses with the best of industry certification. Kleefy has been doing his for awhile now and has really gotten a lot out of the course. The good thing it's all done through distance learning through Charles Sturt University.
So I've decided to do a Master of Management (Information Technology) in the Microsoft MCSE 2003 Security stream. So at the conclusion of this I will have a recognized masters degree plus my industry certification. Sounds pretty cool really. We'll see how it goes.
I might be jumping the gun a bit as I haven't been excepted as of yet. Let's hope 20 years at Microsoft is enough to get me in!
Wish me luck!
Cheers, Jeffa

Dude, wishing you lots of luck. Having completely my MBA in 2003, its a good feeling to get this under your belt. That said, the journey of learning is sometimes it's own reward.Anonymous

I've wondered about this. Do you really think MCSE is at masters level? I would say MCSA is at best degree. But I'm not convinced ... but could be ... that the MCSE papers 70-292, the AD one and the electives are at the masters level. I ask because I'm thinking about adding MCSA courses into a degree level program and am wondering at what level to offer them. I'd say 70-290 is third year, but if we go to mmcse I'm just unsure.Anonymous

I'm currently doing the MISS (Masters of Information Systems Security) on the Microsoft Stream at CSU through the itmasters, and I must say the subjects are very good so far.
