Send us your XP Embedded bugs!
In one of the internal discussion groups this weekend there's been a lot of talk about how the 'average joe' can send Microsoft a bug report, it's admitedly not intuitive, that's for sure. Well, some teams like VS have a method, most teams do not. Our team however has had the WECRT alias that you can send us product feedback, feature suggestions and best of all Bug Reports. All reports here wind up in my inbox and Lynda's inbox. Though another popular route is to post to the newsgroup where product teams monitor the threads and product MVPs also assist.
If you have an issue with XP Embedded, go to this XPe web page, copy and paste the appropriate form into your mail client and send any portion of the completed form to WECRT @ Microsoft.com.
Believe it or not, every bug or feature request sent to WECRT goes into our bug tracking database and carries a lot weight. If we have the bandwidth we'll help you troubleshoot a problem through that alias if you have a question, but more often than not you should try posting the question to the XPe Newsgroup where our community and strong MVPs can assist as well.
BTW, WECRT stands for Windows Embedded Community Response Team.
