What is Ask Learn?
Ask Learn is an AI assistant now available in preview on Microsoft Learn. It can answer questions, provide instructions, define concepts, and provide definitions related to Microsoft products and services.
Its responses are grounded in the latest Microsoft product documentation and training content published on Microsoft Learn.
What are the intended uses for Ask Learn?
Ask Learn helps Microsoft Learn users accomplish their tasks more quickly, such as completing training or finding answers to their questions from documentation.
How was Ask Learn evaluated? What metrics are used to measure performance?
Ask Learn was evaluated through manual and automated testing, including assessments for accuracy, relevance, groundedness, coherence, etc. Other evaluations were performed over custom datasets for offensive and malicious prompts (user questions) and responses. In addition, Ask Learn is continuously evaluated with online user feedback.
What are the limitations of Ask Learn? How can users minimize the effect of its limitations when using the service?
- Ask Learn is currently in a preview release state. As such, its responses might be inaccurate, irrelevant, or unexpected while we work to further refine the user experience.
- Ask Learn responses are generated using AI and might be incorrect. We strongly recommend users review them for accuracy.
- Ask Learn currently only supports conversations in English.
- Ask Learn is currently only available in Azure-related training modules.
- Ask Learn can currently only reference documentation and training content published on Microsoft Learn.
- Ask Learn can only accept up to 500 characters of text per prompt.
- Ask Learn performs a search against Learn content for most user inputs. It performs best when users ask clear, simple, specific questions with strong keywords or phrases. Avoid short, ambiguous sentences without clear keywords, or detailed, verbose messages with lots of extraneous context.
How do I provide feedback on Ask Learn?
Your feedback is critical to improving Ask Learn. You can leave feedback on every interaction with Ask Learn by selecting the thumbs up button to leave positive feedback, or thumbs down to leave negative feedback.
You can then select a reason for your feedback, and leave a comment. Give as much detail as you can, but don't include any private or sensitive information.
