MIX 08 Highlights so far
Our MIX08 event is in progress in Las Vegas and significant announcements are pouring out. To keep abreast of them here are some resources I am using:
The official MIX website: https://visitmix.com/2008/default.aspx (includes an RSS feed)
- Example - day 1 keynote recap: https://visitmix.com/blogs/News/MIX08-Day-1-Keynote-Recap/
Some useful blogs:
- The UK's Steve Clayton: https://blogs.msdn.com/stevecla01/
- Our own Aussie, Angus Logan: https://blogs.msdn.com/angus_logan/
- Silverlight.net blogs: https://silverlight.net/Community/
- And Christian in our local team will I am sure build an all-up summary for Aussie partners.
And here are some highlights that caught my attention:
- Silverlight 2.0 beta is out there and the Hardrock demo is awesome to see - SnapDragon image zooming technology now included in the Silverlight runtime: https://www.microsoft.com/presspass/features/2008/mar08/03-05HardRock.mspx
- IE8 beta 1 released: https://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/ie8/getitnow.mspx
