Oh No! The Dog ate my iPhone...

I got sent an email from Otterbox today about their new iPhone ruggedised case... at first I thought - why would anyone want to put a ruggedised case on the their iPhone.   (I also thought why are they emailing me based on the fact my blog is about Windows Mobile - they do have the same great cases for Windows Mobile devices too though!)

Then about 10 minutes later I got an email from Jake to let me know his dog had eaten his iPhone.

So there were 2 lessons learnt today:

1) Jake should really have taken out accidental damage cover.

2) I guess there is a need for ruggedised cases for the iPhone

  I use a Pelican 1020 for my HTC TyTN when I'm on the motorcycle in case I get caught in the rain.  It's rather large but the next smaller option is too small.  A good rugged case, especially one that would allow using the device, would be handy and a good way to protect against drops.
