Hotel Room of the Future

I was reading my feeds this morning and I always love Alistair's blog as he has such a great eye for interesting articles and an incredible sense of humour.

The article he posted today really struck a chord with me.  I'm in the US at Connections and struggling horribly with jetlag after I stupidly fell asleep at 8pm in front of the NFL game last night in my room.  Normally when I'm on the West Coast of the US I try and stay up as late as possible but this time I just couldn't.  I then woke up at 1am and have struggled since...

Anyway - Alistair blogged about Philips who have are showing a display panel that can be used in Hotel room windows allowing you to emulate the environment you want to experience.  Jetlagged - you can get night time. Bored of the city - have some forest scenes.

I'm not sure I agree as the last thing I want to do when I'm travelling is sit in the hotel room - I like to go exploring!

I did love the tagline though - available in your hotel in a decade!
