Projector Recommendations

Any suggestions for a good, reasonably priced, portable projector? We have a need to buy these to use on the road so we need to be able to carry them along with various other gear. ie weight / bulk are at a premium. Other criteria would include:

  • Minimum 1024x768 native resolution
  • Good light output so we can use in less-than-absolutely-dark conditions
  • Quiet in operation (so we don't need to shout)
  • Doesn't pump out too much heat (so we don't get too sweaty)
  • Looks cool (so we look suave and sophisticated)
  • Flexible about projection distances (ie we sometimes have to project from relatively close range)

Anyone for any good / bad experiences to share?

    I've not been given a fixed budget Steve but I guess we're looking at up to around the £1000 mark. Mike
