It's time to say "WOW"!

vistaofficewow

Yes I couldn't resist!  A couple of days ago we launched Windows Vista and 2007 Office System into the Australian marketplace.  I was at the launch demoing Telstra's new Bigpond Movie Service which was one of the partnerships we announced with the launch.  This service is tightly integrated into Windows Media Center in Windows Vista which is really cool.  It allows you to download movies, TV, sports and Music.  It's very easy to use and if you have your regional settings set to English Australia the service just appears in the more TV section in Media Centre.  The picture below gives you an idea.

This first photos is what you see when you first go into More TV.  The first time you do this the service will check if you have the software installed and allow you to install outside of the media center interface.  Once that's done then you are good to go..

The next photo is the main page for Bigpond Movies inside Media Center..Very nice integration..

The cool thing about this is its available now which is great!  So if you have Windows Vista now and you have Home Premium or Ultimate then the service is available now!

The other 2 announcement we made were with Sanity Music and Kodak.  The Sanity partnership is all about music downloads that are tightly integrated into Windows Media Player 11.  It means that you'll have access to over a million music downloads without having to leave Windows Media Player.  This service is available in April this year..This is going to be very cool!

The other is the Kodak partnership which has tight integration with Windows Photo Gallery.  It allows you to order prints online from Kodak and get them sent to your home or to a Kodak store near you!  Very cool!  Another example of very tight integration into the operating system.  Below is what it looks like..

The other thing I noticed since Windows Vista released the other day is heaps of new drivers are showing up now on Windows Update.  It's all happening now and there are lots of reasons to say WOW!

Check out the 100 reasons to say WOW!  And lastly check out all the photos from Australia day at the Look Up and Smile Website.  Some of them are really awesome.

Cheers, Jeffa
