Call for apps

I was chatting with Loke this morning about my ideas for a couple of cool applications which don't exist today that I think really should!

Now either we just haven't been able to find them or maybe they just don't exist.

FACEBOOK Today Plug In - this application is something I'd love to see which would be a Facebook Today Plug in that gives you your friends status updates on your Today Screen on your Windows Mobile device along with the ability quickly to change your status.

Second application is a personal one called FAST FORWARD - I want a really easy way to forward my mobile phone to a preset phone number.  The reason I want to do this is for a couple of reasons.  Firstly I don't get good mobile coverage where I live and secondly I want to forward my mobile phone to the SIM in my car kit in the car.

So any developers out there (Mel?) who fancy giving either of these a crack?

You can do the Fast Forward thing by using a regular Speed Dial. Create a new contact with the following number, then assign a Speed Dial to it 21{divert_to_number}# So, for example, you might have **2101234987654# to divert to 01234 987654

I Have another app that someone should make. A windows Vista Gadget that connects via bluetooth to your windows mobile phone that will display and let you respond to text messages. I often find it a distraction at work to reply to text messages on my phone. But quickly glancing at the Vista sidebar and being able to reply from a full desktop keyboard would be much easier

The Fast Forward app should be able to respond to a config sms and the remotely set call forwarding (and possible also forward SMS messages) :-)

"Could we initiate a top request list somewhere" We were discussing exactly that with Paul @ Modaco recently, with each suggestion for an app having a donation towards development (so that there is an incentive for the developers) I'll start a thread and see how much interest there is
