MED-V now available
I have been somewhat remiss in not talking more about MED-V (Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Virtualization) and hope to address this by finding the time to post about it in the coming weeks.
If you are not aware – MED-V is an enterprise management solution for Virtual PC. It allows you to create, deploy, manage, monitor and control Virtual PC virtual machines in a corporate environment. The first release of MED-V is now available and is part of the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack 2009 (MDOP 2009).
You can read more about MED-V here:
https://www.microsoft.com/windows/enterprise/products/med-v.aspx
Where there are whitepapers, quick start guides, demonstration videos and more.
The Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack is only available for license to customers with Software Assurance agreements. However, you can download and evaluate MDOP if you have an MSDN or TechNet subscription as well (details on which exact subscriptions have access to this are on the above page).
Cheers,
Ben

MED-V is a needlessly complex and overengineered solution IMO (no need for client-server model). Sun's VirtualBox has this feature called "Seamless mode" that does the same thing, it hides the desktop, but it doesn't have a client-server model, only two taskbars are shown. Why can't Virtual PC vNext have this feature instead of MED-V?
