TechEd is around the corner...
Well it's the Friday before TechEd begins and as Kleefy said in his post we are all putting the final touches on our sessions and in particular the demo's. I believe slides are secondary and really setup our talks. The demo's are what people really come to see. This year I'm doing 2 sessions on Windows Server 2008 and I'm participating in the "Mobility Smackdown". What's that you ask? Well you'll just have to get along and find out! I've also been at home with all my kit which is always a challenge with kids around.
I'll be at the Technet stand most of the time when I'm not speaking and I'll be participating in Virtual Teched doing interviews with attendees at "The Fishbowl". If you're interested in being interviewed the head on over.
My main sessions look like this:
- Windows Server 2008 Terminal Services: Configuration Walkthrough - I'm going to take you through all the new enhancements in Terminal Services like TS Gateway, TS RemoteApp and other enhancements. I'm going to have Simon Le Comte from HP talking about some value added devices they have in the Terminal Services space. Time: Thursday at 5:00PM in Arena 1B
- Windows Server 2008 Server Core: Running a Minimal Server: In this session I'm going to take you through all aspects of the new Server Core option in Windows Server 2008. I'm going to go through Roles, Features, remote Management and the reasons why we have this option. Time: Friday 1:45PM in Arena 1A
- Mobility Smackdown - This is a pure demo session with a bunch of other speakers. It's intended to be a bit of fun some come along and see some cool mobility demos. Time: Friday 11:30AM Central A
So it's shaping up to be a great event and there are 3 parties this year! Awesome! And I'm doing the same sessions a week later at Teched NZ!
