Framework Design Guidelines Book

Krzysztof spilled the beans… He and I are working on bringing all the goodness of the Framework Design Guidelines into book format with lots of good real world annotations. One of the early reviewers gave us high praise: “This is an experience-based book”… that is really what we are going for, we are trying to convey the 6+ years of experience Microsoft has in building managed libraries to the wide audience.

Stay tuned here for more info…

This is great news! I have been waiting for a book like this for a long time. Currently, it's a bit of a pain to either read the guidelines online, or to print out the whole thing. Having a nice hardcover (hopefully) book would go a long way to sharing the guidelines with less experienced developers, or developers who resist adhering to a guideline. It will be nice to share and pass around. Thanks guys!

I had a lot of fun with this one :)

I wonder how many of my annotations they dare to keep :)

That is fantastic news... Some of the most valuable information that I have gotten has been from blogs.msdn.com... I can't wait to see some of that in book form
