A simple question: Let's assume that some time from now, we have (near) infinite computing power available everywhere at almost zero cost. How the world will look like?

    If you're imagining a future in which we can all buy cheap CPU cycles from a utility company like we do today with electricity, we need a killer app before everyone can do anything useful (of even popularly frivilous) with it. In that world, a distributed statistical analysis app could be the next spreadsheet: a flexible tool geared toward a real business need that could be used for innumerable other tasks once consumers start fiddling with it.

    Oops. Make that "or even popularly frivolous". Two mistakes in the same phrase. :-(
