【IIS7】 本日より2日間 新宿でハンズオンラボを実施中

以前に書いたハンズオンを実施しています。このイベントの位置づけは今 https://www.iis.net に行くとトップページにバナーが出ている世界62都市で行われている Windows Server 2008 Hosting Roadshow の日本版ということになっています。ものすごい詰め込みなので実習が社員がやっても終わらないくらい分量があるものです。ただ、IIS7そのものを触っていただくことによって、マイクロソフトがWebサーバーにどれだけ気合いが入っているかを感じていただくことは今日のお客様には体験いただけたと信じます。4,000サイト作ってみたり、システム環境情報をファイル共有で構成したり、今までのIISではできなかったこと、XML化した環境情報の可能性とモジュール化したことによる多くのいい副作用が見ていただけたことだと思います。

今までにいただいた質問よりもかなり濃いものを頂戴しており、それについては今後 調べて書いていきたいと思います。監視系の話やチューニング系の話、セキュリティ設定の話など多岐にわたります。

それでは明日 もう一回 実施してきます。明日参加の方にお会いするのを楽しみにしております。

[IIS7] Today(done) and tomorrow, we're holding a Hands On Lab training in Shinjuku

We executed the first day of the lab I wrote about before. This event is one of the worldwide execution of  the Windows Server 2008 Hosting Roadshow which you can find a banner at https://www.iis.net .Actually it is a very packed curriculum that maybe even employees who are not used to IIS can't finish all the labs. But touching the actual IIS7 product, I truly believe that you will find how serious Microsoft is about delivering a great web platform. and I'm confident that the people who attended today felt that way. It includes making 4000 web sites, setting up shared configuration, many things that IIS couldn't do in previous versions. The XML style configuration system, modularized architecture and many good side effects this causes must have been a good experience for today's attendees.

The questions I received today was very heavy and difficult than the ones I received at other events. I'd like to try to do some more research and answer some of them here.  These are system monitoring issues, performance tuning issues, and security issues etc. which covers a variety of areas.

So we're doing one more tomorrow. I'm excited to see tomorrow's attendees. :-)
