Docking and undocking windows in the IDE has always been.interesting.  Here is what the docking visuals looked like in VS2008:

Welcome to the world of the new and improved Guide Diamond!  It makes docking way easier.  Check it out:

Now you can clearly see how your window will wind up just based on the image in the diamond.  Just drag the Title Bar of your window over one of the previews:

Then release and you are in business!

    hey ken :) It's not a control, it's just a new visual you get when you try to dock a window inside Visual Studio 2010
