7 Ways the Change the World

 

As you’ve probably heard there’s a lot of anticipation about the official Windows 7 launch tomorrow.   What you might not know is that internally Microsoft has a rather impressive contribution matching program and sets aside October to run an annual “Giving Campaign.”  It’s fitting then that Microsoft has just announced the “7 Ways to Change the World” program to coincide with the launch. 

Do you have a great idea as to how a PC running Windows can help an organization make an even greater impact on their community?  Would you like to win and contribute $7000 to that cause?

  1. Create a short (two minutes or less) video of yourself explaining your idea.
  2. Register at the site.
  3. Submit your video to the competition by November 11th, 2009.

A panel of judges will rate the submissions on the categories of originality, composition, and adherence to theme.  Seven (of course!) winners will be announced (week-)daily beginning November 16th, and each winner will receive

  • a new PC running Windows 7, and
  • a $7000 grant for their chosen, eligible non-profit or non-governmental entity.
