New User Group in Newcastle

newcastle infra
Yesterday we kicked off a new user group in Newcastle which is about 2 hours north of Sydney.  One of our newcastle city beachpartners; Forsythes IT is going to be running the group and they asked me to come and help kick the group off.  the turnout was great with about 40 people turning up.  And because we had so many people we had to do the  presentation in the kitchen!  That's ok with me.  I'll present wherever anyone is willing to listen.

So we kicked off the first meeting with a revised version of my Windows Server 2008 top 10 things you need to know.  I've modified this slightly from previous decks but essentially its the same content.  Click the icon below to download.

So if you live in the Newcastle area and want to hear about all things technical in the infrastructure space then check out the Newcastle Infrastructure User Group.  It's great to see a group like this kicked off in one of our smaller regional areas.

It was a great night. I know it can be difficult keeping up with new tech when you are so far from the capital cities, so it was great to see something like this come to Newcastle. Thanks to Forsythes and Jeff for the effort they put into the night.
