Note This content applies to the Windows Logo Kit (WLK). For the latest information using the new Windows Hardware Certification Kit (HCK), see Windows HCK User's Guide on the Windows Hardware Dev Center.
To diagnose failures, warnings and/or errors when performing testing, try the following remedies:
Before you create a submission, make sure your client is in Ready () Mode. If it is not, right-click the system and choose Change Status and then Reset.
If you plug in your device and it does not appear in DTM Studio, try clicking the Refresh button in Device Console before creating a submission. If the device still does not appear, try restarting the client system.
If jobs are not getting your device's parameters check the following:
- Right-click the job in Job Monitor's Job Execution Status pane.
- Choose View Result Report.
- Check the Effective Parameters section at the bottom of the report.
- If the parameters are incorrect, you may have associated the wrong device with the submission, the device may be installed incorrectly, or the installed driver may be wrong.
- If this is empty your submission may be invalid.
- Create a new submission and launch the test again.
- If the parameters are still empty your client installation may be corrupt.
- Delete the system from the machine pool, uninstall the client and repeat steps 4 & 5 of Test System Configuration.
If jobs are appearing incorrectly.
- Please ensure that you have done step 5 of Test System Configuration.
