Note  This content applies to the Windows Logo Kit (WLK). For the latest information using the new Windows Hardware Certification Kit (HCK), see Windows HCK User's Guide on the Windows Hardware Dev Center.

After you have installed the test devices and drivers in the test clients, and have set up the DTM controller, Studio, and clients, you can begin running the logo tests.

To run the USB Gaming Device logo tests

  1. Start DTM Studio.

  2. Switch to the Device Console window.

  3. Click Submission.

  4. Select new submission.

  5. Click OS, Select Device Submission, Game Devices, DirectInput, and Qualification Level.

  6. Name your submission and select your machine pool where the devices are installed.

  7. Select I am not providing an INF or Driver Package (because drivers are system-supplied).

  8. Find and select your device under the Human Interface Device node.

  9. Click Finish.

  10. Select all of the tests, and then click the Add Selected button.

  11. When you are ready to run the jobs, click Schedule.

  12. Use the Job Monitor to track the progress of jobs as they are executed.

  13. After all jobs have passed, right-click anything in the device pane and click Create Submission.

Driver Reliability Signature Program

If you are submitting a driver with your device submission, you must also run the Driver Reliability (DRS) tests and tools. For more information, see Driver Reliability Tools and Tests.
