Type: Automated Test
Overview
This tool verifies that a device meets the performance requirements for Flash Memory.
Details
The test interacts with the External Memory Devices (EMD) service to determine if the device passes the interface, minimum size, and file system requirements. The operating systems checks these same requirements when a removable storage device is first inserted to determine if the device should undergo the bandwidth tests to qualify for Windows ReadyBoost. The test then launches the WinSAT utility to measure the device's read and write throughput. The device must meet the throughput requirements for random reads and writes (as listed in the Windows Logo Program Requirements) across its entire capacity.
Run Time: 15 minutes
System Restart Required: No
Supported operating systems for Logo or Signature testing:
Windows 7
Windows Vista
Requirements
Software Requirements
