Troubleshooting
This section addresses issues that might arise as you get your system up and running.
Users of the evaluation system get a 'no license available' message
All licenses available in the Nuance Management Center (NMC) have been assigned to users. Any attempts to connect by an additional user will be rejected because there are no licenses available. For more information, see: Users.
You don't know which user IDs were assigned speech recognition licenses in the evaluation system
Proceed as follows:
- Sign in to NMC and select User Accounts.
- Select Search and enter search criteria. If you don't enter search criteria, all of your users are displayed.
- The Licenses column displays the license assigned to each user.
You want to reassign users' speech recognition licenses in the evaluation system
Proceed as follows:
- Sign in to NMC and select Licensing > View Licenses > Search.
- In the Licenses Summary screen, right-click your development organization and select Revoke Licenses.
- Use the arrow buttons to move users from Available Users to Selected Users.
- Select OK to revoke the selected users' licenses.If a license is available, it will be automatically assigned to the next user who connects to the speech recognition system.
You get a 'license expired' message
Your 90-day evaluation license has expired. Please contact your account manager.
You get a 'server did not recognize the license as valid' message
There's a problem with your partner GUID and/or your organization token. Make sure you're passing these values correctly to the SDK. Make sure the organization token doesn't contain non-printing ASCII characters at the end of the string. Make sure that you're using the GUIDs provided in the Welcome Kit.
It isn't possible to connect to NMC
Check that port 443 is open.
NMS 5 is installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2012: It isn't possible to connect to NMC

Users of the evaluation system get poor recognition results

User accounts aren't created automatically when new users connect to the speech recognition system
