Blogpost Magic Word

Someone asked about my “blogpost” magic word (in SlickRun – see earlier post). This magic word starts Word 2007 with the “new blog post” template open so all I have to do is type "blogpost" in SlickRun and I’m ready to start creating my next posting. These are the settings you'll need...

    Hi Mike, I came across SlickRun from your original blog post. Great App. Yes, even I had to fiddle around to get the 'blogpost' keyword working. It also works with directly entering the 'blog.dotx' pathname in the "Filename" area ;)

    Hiya

    That's funny - I was sure I tried that and it didn't work. But you got me doubting myself so I just tried again and sure enough it doesn't work for me. Word starts but says it can't find the template so I'll have to stick with the full path. Great that it works for you though!

    Okay - more haste less speed. Yes, I see what you mean now... :-) You're still entering the full path but in the filename field instead? Yeah, I guess that would work... :-)
