I often get a mail from Microsoft with "Your single-use code". I do have a personal and business account with the same email address. But also after changing both passwords and checking the activity logs in both accounts i cant find what is causing this. Any ideas about how to track the root cause and how to stop the emails?

    Hello @vd Sanden,

You will receive an email titled "Your single-use code" when signing in to your personal Microsoft account without using a password. Below is the content of the email:

Subject: Your single-use code Hi ******@domain.com, We received your request for a single-use code to use with your Microsoft account. Your single-use code is: 1943943, If you didn't request this code, you can safely ignore this email. Someone else might have typed your email address by mistake. Thanks, The Microsoft account team

This type of email-based OTP sign-in is possible if email-based sign-in is enabled in your personal account security settings.

To stop receiving these emails, log in to Microsoft Account Security and select "Manage how I sign in."

There, you will see that the email sign-in method is enabled for your personal account. This is why you are receiving email alerts.

If email sign-in is enabled, users can log in to their accounts using a one-time email code instead of entering a password. Below is an example of the sign-in screen:
