I am trying to get into MS Outlook and Teams on my Samsung phone and keep getting an error code or 5sr96.

I have tried all of the online help as outlined below and still get the error as per the attached screenshot)

  1. Check Your Internet Connection: Ensure you have a stable and active internet connection.
  2. Update the Outlook App: Make sure you have the latest version of the Outlook app installed.
  3. Clear Cache and Data:
    • Go to your Samsung phone's Settings > Apps > Microsoft Outlook > Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data.
    • Restart your phone.
  4. Reinstall the Outlook App: Uninstall and reinstall the Outlook app from the Google Play Store.
  5. Check Account Settings:
    • Verify that your email account settings are correctly configured within the Outlook app.
    • Ensure you have set up an app password for your Outlook account, especially if you have MFA enabled.
  6. Check Samsung Email App Settings (if applicable):
    • If you're using the Samsung email app, check its settings for Office 365 or Outlook and ensure it is set up to use IMAP.
    • Consider using the Outlook app instead of the Samsung email app.
  7. Contact Support: If the issue persists, reach out to Microsoft Support or GoDaddy Support for further assistance.
  8. Check for Microsoft Authenticator Issues: If you use Microsoft Authenticator, ensure it is running correctly and that you have logged into the app.
  9. Try Logging into the Outlook Web App: Check if you can access your account via the Outlook web app (https://outlook.office.com) to determine if the issue is with the app or your account.
