Device metadata published to WMIS authentication failed, do not know how to correct

Problem Statement According to the official guide "Automatic installation of UWP device apps", we developed a UWP device app and successfully published it to Microsoft Store. However, when attempting to publish the device metadata to Windows Metadata and Internet Services (WMIS), the submission consistently fails without detailed error logs.

Key Issues

Zero Debug Information: The WMIS portal only returns a generic "submission failed" message, with no specifics on validation errors (e.g., XML schema issues, metadata conflicts, or account permissions).

No Public Documentation: Microsoft's current WMIS guides lack troubleshooting steps for this scenario.

Request

Has anyone encountered similar WMIS metadata publishing failures?

If you have a verified solution (e.g., hidden schema requirements, account permission adjustments)。

I am willing to pay for technical support to resolve this.

    Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

For your scenario, I suggest that you might need to open a support ticket for this.

Please contact our paid support at MS Support. You will get 1:1 support on that. Select Developer Tools -> Windows UWP Development -> Windows 10 Universal App Dev -> Devices and Sensors Development in the support page and you could contact the team. Please kindly note that your support ticket will be free if it is Microsoft's issue.

    Thank you
