Question

VM Crashed, not able to connect rdp

TMS Azure 0

The server was not responding, not able to connect via rdp. Stopped and started the server from Azure portal.I can see Verify IP flow in activity log. Want to know what happened?

Hi @TMS Azure ,

the VM is running in Azure?

Did you try the Boot diagnostics of the VM to see the status?

You mentioned "VM crashed" and "VM is not responding": Did you change something or did it happen suddenly?

It happened again 10 minutes before. I am not able to access server through RDP, checked the boot diagnostics as suggested, showing the login screen as in your screenshot, but still the server not reachable. Stopped and started the server from Azure portal, server is back online now. How I can check the reason for this issue which is happened second time in 2 days.

Hi @TMS Azure ,

great to hear the VM is up and running again.

As a first step I would recommend to take a look in the Event Viewer logs to check if anything is recorded that points to the issue.

Also checking the Azure Activity log of the VM may give some insides/hints of the issue.
