Input text box is not working with the current webview2 (134.0.3124.51)

After an Webview2 update (v 134.0.3124.51) released March 6,2025, text input fields are not working. Users are unable to enter more than one digit into the text input field.

Anyone else facing the issue?

    This issue was first corrected with the release of version 134.0.3124.68: https://learn.microsoft.com/deployedge/microsoft-edge-relnote-stable-channel#version-1340312468-march-13-2025. You could try the latest version.

    We can reproduce like this:

    1. Browse to the page
    2. Input text
    3. Submit the page
    4. Browse to the same page
    5. Input same text

    the page submits the first character only

    Workaround is to copy + paste the text from notepad
