Return of Credit when Skype is closed

As of now, Microsoft has not announced any plans to cancel Skype, so there's no official policy in place regarding refunds for remaining Skype Credit in such an event. That said, here are a few points to consider:

1. Skype’s Terms of Use and payment policies typically state that Skype Credit is non-refundable. This means that once you purchase the credit, you generally agree that it cannot be refunded, even if circumstances change.
2. In many services that use digital credits (whether it’s Skype, a cloud gaming service, or another online platform), the terms you agreed to at the time of purchase often specify that, in the event of a service discontinuation, refunds aren’t provided for remaining balances. Instead, if the service is ever retired, companies might opt to offer alternative solutions (such as credit conversions or other forms of compensation) at their discretion.
