Morning,
I am running a new 2024 Mac with Sequoia 15.0.1.
I am attempting to use the Azure Virtual Desktop for my organization.
I am able to login to the virtual desktop (VD) from my Mac just fine.
I open a browser in the VD then attempt to use my smart card to login to one of my organization's web pages, the VD does not see my smart card.
Looking into the redirect settings on my Windows App, I do have Smart Cards checked for redirect to the VD. My Mac also recognizes the Smart Card Reader in the System Report.
Am I missing anything that needs to be setup to properly redirect? Do I need to label my Smart Card Reader something specific?

Based on your question we understand that Smart Card Reader not recognized in AVD.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
Check if the smart card reader is being redirected to the remote machine. You can check this by opening the Remote Desktop Connection client, clicking on "Show Options", selecting the "Local Resources" tab, and ensuring that the "Smart cards" option is selected under "Local devices and resources". If this option is already selected, you may want to check if the remote machine is recognizing the smart card reader. You can do this by opening the Device Manager on the remote machine and checking if the smart card reader is listed under "Smart card readers". If it is not listed, you may want to check if the smart card reader driver is installed on the remote machine. If the driver is not installed, you can install it by following the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the smart card reader.
If the driver is installed and the smart card reader is still not being recognized, you may want to check if there are any issues with the smart card reader itself. You can do this by testing the smart card reader on another machine to see if it is working properly.

I realize this is an old thread, but it was never re-visited by the original poster.
I have the same issue as the OP, and the provided troubleshooting steps have provided no solution. Any further advice?
Additionally, I am able to use the card reader from the host (Mac) directly, but when in AVD, no certificates are found.

I have been having the same issue with my new Mac. I am confident these instructions will get me what I need. However, I am unsure where to locate step 1, "Remote Desktop Connection client." Can someone help me?
