2025-03-13T05:31:30.84+00:00 If you open the .doc files in a recent version of Word you can convert to .docx.
If they have the compatibility package on their Word 2003, they would be able to open and edit those in Word 2003.. I know one was offered at least until 2008 and it may be possible to find yet.
