This is the new Outlook.
Please try using a Microsoft email address.
Immersive Reader cannot be used with email addresses from other companies.

Thank you so much for your response. This now makes sense, and it's not appearing because I am using a different email address, not a Microsoft one. This is a shame for me, I will continue to copy my emails to Word and read aloud this way. Thank you everyone, for your help and support very much appreciated

When I go to the view tab I don't see the Immersive Reader! is this because I'm using the app version on Microsoft 365?

Please check which of the following Outlook versions you are in and where the corresponding options are:
Classic Outlook for Windows:
New Outlook for Windows:
You can see I am using the new outlook, but I don't have immersive reader for some strange reason!

What's the version of your Outlook?
Based on my research, i found that it's available for versions 2111 or later.

If you have Windows, open a Word document, choose File from the top left corner, and then click either Account or Help on the left nav bar. You’ll see your Office version and information under Product information, on the right side of the window.
If your Microsoft 365 is not the latest version, Under Product Information, choose Update Options > Update Now.
I have also updated Microsoft, but still no Immersive Reader showing!

Based on my test on different accounts (Outlook.com, Gmail, Microsoft 365), when i add the Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 account in New Outlook, the Immersive Reader is displayed. But when i add Gmail to New Outlook, Immersive Reader is not shown. I'm afraid that it's related to the account we add in New Outlook. It's suggested that you could add another account to New Outlook to check if there're any differences.
