Hi. For projects. I have a task that is allocated to 1 person for 21 hours, but this is to be worked over a period of 2 months, in bits and pieces that cannot be scheduled separately. Is there any way in which to "override" the process to type in the 21 hours in the duration column and to type in the correct start and finish dates to show the results that I want? Thanks

Thank you for the quick response. I don't think it is an error, but rather me not knowing what I am doing! I am trying to plot a project plan on Microsoft 365 Project Professional and want to override the yellow date cells in the summary line to cover the entire period of the tasks making up the totals, while still adding to the total of 9 hrs. The last line totalling 5 hrs are also supposed to be plotted from 2 April to 15 July, so again my dates are not working out.
