As the article said:
OneNote for Windows 10:
- This version is pre-installed on Windows 10.
- It has a simplified interface with a navigation pane on the left.
- The app icon is purple with a white "N" and a page symbol.
OneNote on Windows (OneNote M365):
- This version is part of Microsoft 365 and Office 2019, but can also be downloaded as a standalone app.
- It has a full Office ribbon interface at the top.
- The app icon is purple with a white "N" and a notebook symbol.
And OneNote for Windows 10 will end-of-support in October 2025.
You can directly export OneNote Notebooks and import to OneNote agian:
